I have extensive experience in technical and application architecture. I specialise in designing bespoke software solutions and integrating distributed systems.

Having led numerous projects from inception to completion, I've collaborated closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring the successful translation of business objectives into technical solutions. I pride myself on my leadership skills, mentoring teams and managing end-to-end project deliverables, from requirements gathering to customer and vendor interactions.

I've played a significant part in designing software systems for governments, corporations and businesses large and small, ensuring that the proposed and implemented architectures are robust, performant, scalable and secure and enforcing clear separation of concerns.

My development expertise lies in utilising Java, J2EE, JSON, REST, and other web technologies, predominantly within microservice-based architectures. Regarding API design, I understand where to apply a course-grained or a fine-grained approach, depending on the context. I've also leveraged COTS (commercial-off-the-shelf) software approaches to expedite delivery times.

I have also participated in mobile projects for iOS and Android that utilise Swift, Kotlin, Flutter, and Objective C.

While not my core focus, I have designed and been involved in using DevOps tools and methodologies, such as infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, Kubernetes and AWS.

I am a well-spoken British citizen with a clear and confident communication style. I'm adept at leading teams and engaging directly with stakeholders to ensure alignment and progress.
