Manpreet in a few words
My core experience lies within Frontend development. I build Single-page Web applications, using modern Javascript with popular UI frameworks like React. Most of the clients I've built, typically consume a Backend service over HTTP, WebSockets or use GraphQL. I have some experience building simple Backends using Node and Rails, but I consider that as a hobby.

I've worked with small to large companies with the focus of delivering high quality features to their users and at the same time improve developer experience by introducing tools to automate monotonous tasks and suggest standard coding practices along with code styling guidelines.
Experience
  • WeTransfer
    Freelance Software Engineer
    April 2022 - Today (2 years and 8 months)
    Amsterdam, Netherlands
Working on WeTransfer's latest innovative product called Portals. The assignment requires me to work closely with the team on building features (frontend with a hint of backend) that will retain the acquired users and convert the incoming ones better. The technology stack is composed of Javascript, using React/Redux, Typescript and GraphQL in the frontend and Node for the backend.
  • A Bigger Circle
    Freelance Web3 Developer
    April 2022 - July 2022 (3 months)
    Amsterdam, Netherlands
Together, we built an NFT platform for Our House museum (https://our-house nft.webflow.io). I was assigned with the task of building the website using Webflow and implement a frontend to consume the Ethereum Contract to mint NFTs. The technology stack used was vanilla Javascript along with some 3rd party libraries like Web3 and web3modal to simplify connection to Ethereum Wallets and call Contract methods.
  • Twitter
    Senior Software Engineer
    March 2021 - April 2022 (1 year and 1 month)
    Amsterdam, Netherlands
After Twitter acquired Revue (https://www.getrevue.co/), I joined the team to help build what Twitter now calls Write, their own product for writers. I learned about how large scale applications like Twitter's Web app works from a System design standpoint, how they organise their code enabling an efficient Developer experience with the highest quality output and why documentation (TDDs etc.) within such large teams can be effective. The technology stack was composed of Javascript, using React/Redux, Flow/ Typescript and GraphQL in the frontend.
