Yana in a few words

Hello 👋

I’m a designer of systems and experiences, helping innovative startups and tech companies transform their ideas into meaningful user-centered products.

🔎
I find I'm at my best when problem-solving, finding simple patterns in complex systems, and translating them into useful and elegant design solutions.

🔁
I'm comfortable owning the entire design process through problem definition and research, ideation and usability testing, all the way to development support and post-release iterations.

👩‍💻
I create design systems with React, Android and iOS components.

🌍
Based in Berlin, I'm working with tech companies and startups from all over the world. Let's chat to see how I can help 📩

Senior Product Designer, Growth  - As a freelancer

Berlin, Germany

June 2021 - March 2022 (8 months)

I helped Algolia to rethink and redesign their current onboarding experience by tailoring it specifically to developers as they are the main champions of Algolia's product. As a senior product designer in the Growth team, I was behind numerous experiments and improvements to the signup and activation flows — all of these helped us to increase the retention and activation of the new users.

Product designer

Paris, France

July 2019 - February 2020 (6 months)

I was behind the design and release of the visual editor, a tool that helps non tech savvy customers define their search and discovery experience without a single line of code. Partnering with PM, engineering, and customer success teams, I owned the end-to-end design process through user research and benchmarking, user journeys and flow maps, usability testing, design specs, QA and post-release iterations.

As a designer at Qonto, I crafted dozens of features and helped them make it to production, bringing core banking experience across desktop and mobile. Together with the head of product and the engineering team, I also redesigned a complex setup flow for recurring direct debits and helped to significantly decrease the amount of rejected payments.

I've known Yana for a few years now, and she is an extremely thorough and dedicated designer. Her interests in design are diverse, from architecture to typography, which gives her a rich and broad background to build from. She strives for innovative, reliable and impeccably executed work. Any project would be lucky to have her on board.

Marine Commerçon - Qonto

I had the pleasure to work with Yana on the Qonto mobile app. She had plenty of ideas, didn’t count hours to find the best solution and was able to respect the delivery and the constraints of the project. The communication was easy because each feedback was well received. I can only highly recommend her !
