    Seraing, Belgium
Successfully managed projects to design, manufacture and deliver green hydrogen production facilities for sites in Texas ($135 million) and Rotterdam (€45 million). Led engineering teams developing the various component systems, including power control units, hydrolysers, gas separation units, purification and drying units, plus associated equipment.

Helped to provide innovative solutions to resolve issues, involving complex 3D modelling, fluid dynamics simulations and material selection for harsh environments. Managed the creation, review and editing of hundreds of associated documents, including technical specifications, piping and instrumentation diagrams, isometrics, bills of materials, requests for quotations, risk assessments, user manuals, etc. Liaised with clients, suppliers and internal procurement / commercial teams to resolve technical queries, agree design decisions and ensure project timelines were met.

Also led a research project, investigating the risks and benefits of direct flow versus indirect flow in hydrolysers, identifying potential improvements to flow homogeneity, and developing a comprehensive validation and verification plan.

The project also involved upgrading the site’s high voltage electrical network, to enable the transition.

Completed a £2.3 million project installing HVAC systems throughout complex, high security, satellite production cleanrooms and other workspaces. Managing a problematic Principal Contractor and overcoming issues with asbestos-containing-materials in roof spaces and contractor access to secure areas.
