Led a team of Strategic Sourcing Managers (5 Snr. Managers; 5 Sourcing Specialists; 2 Analysts) responsible for the development and execution of technology & cloud category sourcing strategy for the $500m Technology & Cloud portfolio for MTN Group (telco provider) with presence at 21+ countries:

• Led the negotiation and contract management of software license agreements, renewals and spend optimization with Tier-1 SaaS and Cloud suppliers including AWS, Microsoft, Salesforce, SAP, IBM, ServiceNow, Oracle.

• Developed the sourcing strategy and led the execution of the sourcing program for a $60m ERP Transition programme from SAP ECC ERP to a new cloud-based ERP platform. Tender involved SAP S/4HANA, Workday, IFS, Infor, Sage, Oracle. Delivered $6m in cost savings.

• Led the Multi-Cloud Supplier Sourcing & Selection Program: Cloud Service Provider Strategic Sourcing and selection programs involving Microsoft, AWS, GCP, Huawei, Alibaba Cloud, Tencent Cloud, IBM Cloud, & Oracle Cloud: ✓ Led the negotiation of the $90m 5yrs Microsoft Cloud Agreement (MACC) as well as AWS cloud contracts. Established and drove the governance for the management of the contract delivery, risk mitigation and performance management programs. ✓ Led the negotiation of the $47m 3yrs Cloud Managed Services and ongoing management of the contract delivery, ensuring that business value is sustained, service is delivered in line with SLA.

• Interim independent consultant responsible for developing and executing category strategy and managing the Source to Contract processes for multi-million-pound technology infrastructure, software, network, application development and digital transformation portfolio for clients in financial services, manufacturing, property. Managed several high value technology sourcing and contract negotiation across multiple subcategories, Achieved significant cost savings and improved contract terms through effective negotiation and strategic supplier management:

• Cloud Services – Negotiated and managed high-value contracts (>$100m) with key suppliers including Salesforce, Microsoft, AWS, Databricks, ThoughtSpot, Broadcom and ServiceNow.

• Cybersecurity: Oversaw procurement and contract negotiations for a cybersecurity program covering Endpoint Security, Threat Intelligence, Cloud Security, and Data Security. Negotiated contracts (~$11m) with leading vendors such as SecureWorks, Proofpoint, TrendMicro, SentinelOne and Checkpoint.

• Business Apps & Backoffice Platforms: Led the strategic sourcing and contract management for Intelligent Business Planning, Supply Chain Control Tower, logistics and transportation softwares, and Back Office applications. Managed procurement for critical software solutions including BlueYonder, JDA, Fourkite, Transporeon, SAP, SOVOS, Calypso, and Aravo.

• Subject Matter Expert supporting the delivery of complex cloud spend management program (FinOps).

• Team Leadership: Led a team of four (4) Sourcing Managers in the execution of critical technology procurement initiatives.

• Cloud & SaaS Procurement Transformation: Developed a comprehensive blueprint for Cloud & SaaS procurement transformation, encompassing both annual and multi-year category strategies. Successfully implemented strategic sourcing programs that optimized procurement processes and achieved cost efficiencies.

• Cloud Procurement Strategic Sourcing Program Management: Managed a $60 million Request for Proposal (RFP) involving five global cloud providers – AWS, Microsoft, Google, Oracle, and IBM. Delivered significant cost savings ($8m) and enhanced vendor relationships through effective contract negotiations and strategic sourcing.

• Contract Change & Risk Management: Spearheaded the development and delivery of comprehensive contract change and risk management frameworks. This included assessing supplier risk profiles, continuous monitoring, and implementing mitigation strategies, ensuring the resilience and reliability of supplier engagements.
