Hello! I'm a freelance writer with an accessible writing style who is an expert at making complicated information easier to understand. My working style is very collaborative, and I enjoy getting feedback and making changes to ensure my work meets my clients' expectations.

Regarding subject areas, my main expertise is in travel, particularly family travel. This is due to having worked for Lonely Planet for 16 years in-house as a publisher responsible for a team of people creating European guidebooks and eight years as a freelancer on their family travel content. Recently I have been writing content for the FactorialHr.co.uk and the online pharmacies Superdrug Online Doctor and Zavamed.

I am also at the start of my third year as an MA student in child and adolescent psychotherapy, which is honing my academic writing skills as well as teaching me how to be a therapist. As a parent to three children and a school governor for eight years, I also have knowledge of parenting and education.

My published books include Lonely Planet's Family Travel Handbook and Lonely Planet's Train Travel Guide to Europe. Online, I have contributed articles to Lonelyplanet.com, the Guardian, ShowMeTheJourney and my own blog.

For eight years, I ran the social media accounts for LP Kids, Lonely Planet's children's imprint. I also worked on social media for the creative agency Untold and for a podcast set up during the pandemic, How To Cope.
