I am a senior software engineer and technology leader with a strong track record of building and scaling robust, user-focused products — two of which led to successful exits. My core expertise lies in Ruby and Ruby on Rails, but I am technology agnostic, with deep experience architecting, developing, and maintaining modern web applications in high-growth environments. Providing digital consultancy and web development services to a range of
organisations. Contracted full-time at Indeed Flex (April 2024–July 2025) as a Staff-level Software Engineer at Indeed Flex, a subsidiary of Indeed, working across the data stacks (PostgreSQL/Snowflake) on data investigations, and web application (Ruby on Rails).

Alongside and since working at Indeed, I have been building a Rails engine to act as a (WYSIWYG) “what you see is what you get” CMS, using Rails 7 (then 8), Hotwire (Stimulus) and Postgres/SQLite.

Since August 2024, I have been providing some technology due diligence services to PE companies, but primarily working with a number of non-profit organisations on internal applications. I am working on projects to train local LLMs (through both prompt engineering and fine-tuning) to handle secure data, and have worked extensively with AI tools (my current preference being Claude Code) for development.

Inclusive Jobs was a startup providing training, consultancy and a software platform for employers to help them support and recruit neurodivergent employees. I was responsible for ideation, overall strategy, and technology, and personally trained a number of organisations including Aer Lingus and BBC to improve their neuroinclusion. I built a Ruby on Rails platform (with support from a team of three volunteers) to connect employees with jobs matching their preferences. The platform concluded in April 2024 following changing market conditions.

As Chief Product and Technology Officer from January 2021 , I had responsibility for the product strategy and product management team working across 12 acquired products, plus managing the consolidation of these into a single proposition and build of new cloud-based applications to support over 12,000 schools. I was responsible for technical and product due diligence on acquisitions and partnerships. I divested day-to-day responsibility of the Product function in November 2021 , and took on an expanded technical role including Group information security and IT systems.
