Liz Tully

Liz is a skilled healthcare manager with extensive experience in research policy design, implementation, and evaluation. With a PhD in Applied Biochemistry and an MSc in Healthcare Leadership, Liz began her career as a researcher in the field of immunodiagnostics working in the UK and the US before moving into the area of research management and programme development. Liz was Clinical Network Manager for two national research networks in the perinatal space from 2011 and has extensive experience of the clinical and healthcare landscape. She has published extensively in the area of immunology, biochemistry, obstetrics &neonatology and has more than 40 research publications in peer reviewed journals. Liz brings a practical understanding of how healthcare is currently organised and delivered nationally through collaborative partnerships with hospitals, academic institutions, research networks, commercial partners, charities and patient groups. Throughout her career, she has identified the strengths and weaknesses within the current system and has utilised this to help develop unique structures and processes to navigate these challenges within clinical programmes, health projects and industry collaborations.
