Responsible for managing the New Generation program of Newbuilds, Starting from design plans to shipyards onto final delivery. This includes special projects, or revitalization and refurbishment of vessels. In this position I would consult with internal and external clients in various departments (Globally,shoreside and shipboard) to gather, analyse, and report data for recommended courses of action. Proactively strategize, manage, plan, and drive activities of new Spa and ship design, start-up, and owner supply processes. To ensure project completion within prescribed delivery time frame and budget. Role snapshot: -

•Remain current with industry trends, related to contemporary project management techniques as they impact project objectives

•Lead and provide overall direction to large teams of one to two resources on the day-to-day administrative and reporting details of assigned projects

•Utilizes project management tools and industrial engineering techniques to develop and oversee the maintenance of project scope, customer and executive expectations as well as overall project focus

•Manages and participates in the study of operational needs and performance to determine optimal working procedures and systems

•Acts as the liaison between the Site office(s) and Miami Newbuilding office, serving as the single point of contact for collecting and sharing requested information between parties

•Organizes the communication of the project plan status on a regular basis to project stakeholders and core team

•Track's progress of owner supply specification, requisition, and procurement. Works with Financial Department to track the owner supply budget, cost control and reporting

•Oversee your projects in person and travel to Shipyards in and Germany, Spain, Finland, and Italy

•Staff Education and safety exams

•Preparing and planning for PR launch events. *Ongoing support of project after delivery.

Based in Miami corporate head office, however this role required heavy global travel. Fully responsible for the revenue results of 33 Health Spa's this role required me to 'walk my talk' I planned my business trip's based of the companies P&L. From here I would show up to the business and stay typically between 4-10 days and put into action what I teach with full confidence of achieving results. I worked in this role for 4 happy and successful years. Role Snapshot: -

•Responsible for meeting business partner's financial annual targets. Royal Caribbean and Azamara.

•Coaching exceptional Customer Service by exceeding client's expectations and needs.

•Coaching and Directing Spa Managers and optimization of shipboard revenue.

•Strong ability to analyse revenue streams to identify shortfall's and opportunities.

•Exceeding KPIs.

•Developing strategies and/or tactics to roll out successful initiatives

•Develop and execute new strategies and tactics to increase guest participation (penetration), and drive repeat business.

•Achieve on going management growth within the company by proactively identifying talent and potential within teams from there providing support, encouragement and coaching through a strict development plan.

•Daily contact/coaching with on board Spa Managers.

•USPH, Environmental and SOLAS Compliance.

•Smooth delivery of New Build and refurbished vessels.

•Preparing vessels for repositioning to ensure seamless revenue results.

Working with the largest Spa operator in the cruise ship Industry: - Steiner Leisure or more recently known as One Spa World. Although my position as Spa Manager was global. Steiner's Corporate offices are based both in London and Miami. Steiner's business partners include Carnival Cruise Lines, Celebrity Cruises, Costa Cruises, Crystal Cruises, Cunard Line, Disney Cruise Line, Holland America Line, Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises, P&O Cruises, Princess Cruises, Royal Caribbean, Silversea Cruises, Virgin Cruises, Windstar Cruises and The Yachts of Seabourn. In the late 90's and early noughties I completed contracts onboard Cunard, P&O, and NCL. However, I spent most of my successful and happy years assigned to Royal Caribbean until I moved to the Steiner Miami Coperate office in 2012. I was also involved with Royal Caribean new build teams. Launching Spa's on the new Vessels from the Ship yard. As Spa Manager I was responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Hair salon, Nail salon, Health spa, Fitness centre, Wet areas, Medi spa, Teeth whitening, and Acupuncture clinic.
