Delivery highlights
Design and build of an industry first Azure SaaS solution for small businesses wishing to fulfil their packaging obligations. (At the time of the buy out the management team said the processes where too complex for a software solution, the team I put in place deployed the solution 9 months later)
Defined the roadmap and delivered the migration from the legacy on-premise system to a modern micro-services Azure cloud native solution
Architecture
Designed the SaaS as an Azure cloud native solution; (AppInsights, Monitor, Cost Management, Defender, Azure SQL, Cosmos, Azure Storage, B2C, Function Apps, Blazor, KeyVault, Logic Apps, App Plans, Service Bus, Azure Data Factory etc)
Designed the replacement for the on-premise legacy system based upon a “modular monolith”, the project to transitioning the solution to REST APIs is in flight. Implemented the NIST CSF into the Azure Design / operational processes

In response to a rise in cyber attacks on retail businesses I designed a resilient backup and disaster recovery service, based upon the Rubrik technology.
Designed logical and physical architecture for on-premise backup/restore services, defining recovery processes for on-premise workloads
Reviewed the Azure backup and restore processes, worked with the cloud operations team to address short-comings in the design
Wrote the strategic disaster recovery roadmap, working with the project manager, security, architecture and compliance teams throughout
Introduced C4 diagram standards and IcePanel to the architecture function — improving clarity and consistency of documentation and simplifying the architecture governance process

Designed a bespoke cloud-native platform to certify plastic recycling activities in developing markets. The solution processed digital evidence of recycling events, issued tamper-proof certificates stored in blockchain, and is designed to reimbursed waste collectors in a virtual currency.

Taking a conceptual idea and converting into a working solution, it has just been deployed into Mexico to process waste plastic and convert it into oil
