Rui Pedro Sousa

I’m Rui Pedro Sousa, a writer, director, and visual effects artist from Portugal with over 15 years of experience in the audiovisual world. My career has taken me through a wide range of projects — from short films and feature-length productions to TV commercials, institutional videos, and branded content. No matter the format, I always bring the same focus: telling stories that feel authentic and making them visually engaging.

Storytelling is at the heart of what I do. As a director, I enjoy shaping narratives that balance emotional resonance with strong visuals. As a visual effects artist and motion graphics designer, I love using technology and creativity to push projects further, adding polish and impact without losing the essence of the story. I’ve worked on everything from cinematic pieces to fast-paced content, always adapting my approach to fit the project and the audience.

Alongside production work, I also dedicate time to teaching and mentoring, especially around how AI can be applied to creative fields. I believe in sharing knowledge and helping others discover new ways to express their ideas.
